Guidelines for acceptable behavior on the platform, including AI content use and academic integrity.
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") establishes guidelines for the acceptable use of the DentistJourney.com platform ("Platform") and all services, features, and content provided by QuantumCampus LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). This Policy applies to all users, including pre-dental students, dental students, international dentists, academic advisors, and any other individuals accessing or using the Platform.
By registering for an account and using the Platform, you agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy. Violation of these terms may result in warnings, account suspension, or termination of service.
2. Permitted Uses
2.1 Authorized Services
The Platform is designed to support users in their dental school preparation and professional development through the following services:
- AI Personal Statement Writer: Generate assistance and feedback on dental school personal statements
- Mock Interview System: Practice interview skills with AI-powered interview simulations
- School and Program Directory: Access information about dental schools and programs worldwide
- Acceptance Chance Calculator: Receive data-driven estimates of dental school admission probability
- Personal Statement Advisor System: Access guidance from advisors for personal statement refinement
- Content Studio: (Administrator users only) Create and manage educational content and resources
2.2 Personal, Non-Commercial Use
Users may access and use the Platform for legitimate personal and educational purposes related to dental school preparation, continuing education, and professional development. Use is limited to non-commercial purposes unless explicitly authorized by written agreement with the Company.
3. Prohibited Activities
Users shall not, and shall ensure that others do not, engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
3.1 Illegal Activity
- Engage in any activity that violates local, state, national, or international law
- Use the Platform to facilitate, encourage, or promote illegal conduct
- Attempt to evade law enforcement or hide criminal activity
- Violate export control laws, sanctions, or other trade restrictions
- Use the Platform to facilitate human trafficking, child exploitation, or abuse
3.2 Harassment and Threatening Behavior
- Send threatening, abusive, hateful, racist, sexist, or otherwise offensive messages
- Harass, bully, stalk, or engage in cyberstalking of other users or Company personnel
- Create an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment for other users
- Threaten harm to persons or property
- Engage in coordinated harassment campaigns or brigading
3.3 Impersonation and Fraud
- Impersonate another person, organization, or entity
- Misrepresent affiliation, endorsement, or association with any person or organization
- Provide false or misleading information about your identity or credentials
- Deceive others regarding the nature or source of communications
- Engage in phishing, social engineering, or other deceptive practices
3.4 Automated Access and Scraping
- Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or other tools to access the Platform without authorization
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform
- Bypass authentication mechanisms or security controls
- Perform load testing or stress testing without prior written consent
- Create multiple accounts for the purpose of bypassing restrictions or limitations
3.5 Reverse Engineering and Intellectual Property Violations
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the Platform
- Bypass or attempt to circumvent any technological protections or encryption
- Extract or reuse proprietary algorithms, AI models, or methodologies
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works from Platform content without authorization
- Violate intellectual property rights, trademarks, copyrights, or patents
3.6 Account Security and Credential Violations
- Share your account login credentials with other users
- Allow other users to access your account
- Access another user's account without authorization
- Transfer or sell your account to another user
- Use shared or compromised credentials to access the Platform
3.7 Fraudulent Academic Credentials
- Submit false, fabricated, or misrepresented academic credentials
- Claim GPA, test scores, or academic achievements that you have not actually earned
- Provide false information about your educational background or qualifications
- Use the Platform while under academic probation or sanctions that you misrepresent or conceal
- Attempt to gain admission to dental schools through fraudulent academic information
3.8 AI-Generated Content Misuse
- Use AI-generated personal statements as final submissions to dental schools without substantial personal review and modification
- Submit AI-generated content as entirely your own original work without disclosing AI assistance
- Use AI tools to generate false or misleading information about your qualifications or achievements
- Manipulate AI outputs for the purpose of academic fraud or misrepresentation
- Circumvent academic integrity requirements or honor codes through AI-assisted deception
3.9 Payment and Account Abuse
- Circumvent payment requirements through unauthorized means
- Use payment methods without authorization or fraudulently
- Attempt to reverse, chargeback, or dispute legitimate charges
- Share account access or transfer purchased packages/credits to unauthorized users
- Use trial or promotional offers fraudulently or repeatedly
3.10 Malware and Security Threats
- Upload, distribute, or transmit malware, viruses, worms, or other malicious code
- Introduce security vulnerabilities or exploits
- Attempt to compromise the security of Platform infrastructure
- Inject code or commands designed to harm or disrupt the Platform
- Engage in denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
3.11 Spam and Unwanted Communication
- Send unsolicited bulk email, messages, or communications
- Use the Platform for spamming or commercial solicitation
- Send repetitive, duplicate, or unwanted messages to other users
- Distribute chain messages, pyramid schemes, or multi-level marketing
- Post spam comments or messages in Platform forums or features
3.12 Content Violations
- Post, upload, or distribute pornographic, sexually explicit, or obscene content
- Upload content that violates the privacy or intellectual property rights of others
- Distribute content that is defamatory, libelous, or slanderous
- Share confidential or proprietary information of third parties without authorization
- Post or promote content that violates local laws or regulations
3.13 Platform Interference
- Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the Platform
- Overload servers or systems with requests
- Modify, disable, or interfere with Platform features or functionality
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to restricted areas or administrative functions
- Interfere with other users' enjoyment of the Platform
4. Account Security Responsibilities
4.1 User Responsibility
Users are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials (username and password)
- Preventing unauthorized access to their account
- Notifying the Company immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
- Using secure passwords and changing them regularly
- Logging out of their account when using shared or public computers
4.2 Company's Limited Liability
The Company is not responsible for losses, damages, or unauthorized access resulting from:
- User's failure to maintain confidential credentials
- User sharing of credentials with third parties
- User's negligence in protecting account information
- Unauthorized use of the account by third parties with the user's knowledge
5. Content Standards and User-Generated Content
5.1 User Responsibility for Content
Users are solely responsible for all content they upload, submit, or create on the Platform, including:
- Personal statements and writing samples
- Interview responses and recordings
- Profile information and biographical data
- Comments and forum posts
- Any other user-generated content
5.2 Content Standards
All user-generated content must:
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Respect the intellectual property and privacy rights of others
- Not contain defamatory, harassing, or abusive material
- Not promote illegal activity or harm to persons
- Be accurate and truthful to the best of the user's knowledge
5.3 Content Removal
The Company reserves the right to remove, restrict access to, or modify user-generated content that violates this Policy, applicable law, or the Terms of Service. Users acknowledge that the Company may do so at its discretion.
6. AI-Specific Acceptable Use Standards
6.1 Personal Statements and AI Assistance
Users may use the AI Personal Statement Writer to:
- Brainstorm ideas and topics for personal statements
- Receive structural and organizational feedback
- Improve clarity, grammar, and writing style
- Explore different narrative approaches and angles
- Refine and strengthen already written personal statements
6.2 Requirements for Personal Statement Use
- Original Authorship: Personal statements submitted to dental schools must be substantially your own original work
- Significant Revision: AI-generated drafts or suggestions must be substantially reviewed, revised, and modified by you
- Personal Voice: The final personal statement must reflect your authentic voice, experiences, and perspective
- Accuracy and Truthfulness: All information in your personal statement must be truthful and accurate
- Disclosure: Where required or recommended by dental schools, disclose any AI assistance used in preparing your personal statement
6.3 Prohibited AI Uses
- Submitting an AI-generated personal statement in its entirety without substantial personal review and modification
- Using AI to fabricate experiences, achievements, or qualifications
- Using AI to generate false or misleading information about your background
- Violating your institution's or dental school's academic integrity policies regarding AI use
6.4 Mock Interview and Interview Preparation
- Users may use mock interviews for practice and preparation
- Mock interview sessions are not records of actual interviews with admissions officers
- Users should use interview feedback to improve their skills and preparation
- Users must not misrepresent mock interview participation as actual interview participation
7. Reporting Violations
7.1 Reporting Mechanism
Users who observe violations of this Policy are encouraged to report them to the Company. Reports may be submitted:

When reporting a violation, please provide:

8. Enforcement and Consequences

The Company may enforce this Policy through graduated responses, including:
- Warning: Written notice of policy violation without service restriction
- Temporary Suspension: Temporary restriction of account access (24 hours to 30 days)
- Account Termination: Permanent suspension of account and revocation of service access
8.2 Termination for Cause
The Company may immediately terminate an account without prior notice for:
- Illegal activity or fraud
- Repeated violations after warnings
- Serious or egregious violations of this Policy
- Threats, harassment, or abusive behavior
- Attempted circumvention of security or payment systems
8.3 Data Retention Upon Termination
Upon account termination for policy violations, the Company may:
- Retain user data necessary for legal compliance and law enforcement cooperation
- Retain data for dispute resolution and fraud prevention
- Delete or anonymize personal data in accordance with the Data Processing Addendum
8.4 Appeal Process
Users may appeal account suspension or termination by contacting legal@dentistjourney.com within thirty (30) days of the enforcement action. The Company will review appeals in good faith.
9. No Interference with Platform Operations
Users agree not to:
- Interfere with the normal operations or infrastructure of the Platform
- Create bottlenecks or load on Platform systems
- Bypass security measures or access controls
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Platform systems or data
- Modify Platform functionality or appearance
- Use the Platform in any manner that violates this Policy or applicable law
10. Third-Party Services and Content
10.1 Third-Party Integrations
The Platform may integrate with third-party services, including social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X). Users' use of these integrations is subject to:
- The terms of service and privacy policies of the third-party service
- This Acceptable Use Policy
- All applicable laws and regulations
10.2 External Links
The Platform may contain links to external websites and resources. The Company is not responsible for:
- The content of external websites
- Violations of this Policy that may occur on external sites
- The accuracy or appropriateness of external content
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Acceptable Use Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Both parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Sacramento County, California for any disputes arising from or relating to this Policy.
12. Severability
If any provision of this Acceptable Use Policy is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while maintaining the intent of the parties.
13. Entire Agreement
This Acceptable Use Policy, together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and other documents incorporated by reference, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding acceptable use of the Platform and supersedes all prior negotiations, understandings, and agreements, whether written or oral.
14. Amendments and Updates
The Company may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Material amendments will be provided to users with at least fourteen (14) days' notice via email or notification on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after an amendment's effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
