Intellectual Property Policy
Ownership, use, and protection of intellectual property on the DentistJourney platform.
1. Overview
This Intellectual Property Policy ("Policy") outlines the ownership, use, and protection of intellectual property in connection with the DentistJourney platform and services provided by QuantumCampus LLC. This Policy is binding upon all users, contributors, advisors, and partners of the Platform.
2. Company Intellectual Property
QuantumCampus LLC ("Company") owns and retains all right, title, and interest in the following:
2.1 Platform and Software
- All source code, software architecture, algorithms, and technical infrastructure
- The DentistJourney platform, including all features and functionality
- Database structures, query optimization, and backend systems
2.2 Content and Data
- All text, images, videos, graphics, and multimedia content created by or on behalf of the Company
- All data compilations, aggregations, and proprietary databases (including proprietary ADA data)
- All blog posts, articles, educational materials, and published content
- All graphs, charts, visualizations, and analytical materials
2.3 AI Models and Prompts
- All AI models, machine learning algorithms, and training data
- All AI prompts, instructions, and prompt engineering
- Underlying mechanisms and logic for AI-generated content
- AI integration with third-party services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Together AI)
2.4 Brand and Design
- The DentistJourney trademark, logo, and branding materials
- The complete design system, UI components, and visual identity
- All distinctive design elements and brand voice standards
- Marketing and promotional materials
2.5 Services and Tools
- All features including but not limited to:
- AI Personal Statement Writer
- Mock Interview system
- School Directories
- Acceptance Chance Calculator
- Content Studio
- Social Media Engine
- All workflow processes, methodologies, and service delivery mechanisms
2.6 Proprietary Data
- Proprietary ADA data compilations that no other platform surfaces
- All user analytics, performance data, and aggregate insights
- All research, studies, and analyses conducted by the Company
3. User Intellectual Property Rights and License Grant
3.1 User-Submitted Content
Users retain all right, title, and interest in personal information and original content they create and submit to the Platform, including:
- Personal statements (original drafts and compositions)
- Personal information (name, contact details, academic scores)
- Original essays, writing samples, and personal narratives
- Academic records and application materials
3.2 License to Company
By submitting content to the Platform, users grant QuantumCampus LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to:
- Use submitted content to provide services to the user
- Store and process content for platform functionality
- Analyze content for service improvement and quality assurance
- Generate AI-assisted feedback, suggestions, and coaching
3.3 Limitations on Company Use
The Company shall not:
- Publicly display personal statements without explicit written consent
- Share personal information with third parties except as necessary for service delivery
- Use personal identifying information in marketing or promotional materials
- Disclose user content in any manner inconsistent with the Company's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
3.4 AI-Generated Content
Personal statements, feedback, and interview responses generated by the Platform's AI tools are provided as tools for the user's benefit. Users may edit, adapt, and use these outputs in their dental school applications. However:
- The underlying AI models, prompts, and algorithms remain the exclusive property of the Company
- No license to the underlying AI technology is granted
- Users may not attempt to reverse engineer, extract, or replicate the AI systems
4. Advisor and Partner Intellectual Property
4.1 Session Materials
All materials created during advisory sessions, including:
- Session notes and meeting summaries
- Guidance documents and coaching materials
- Feedback annotations and comments
- Strategic advice and recommendations
are owned exclusively by QuantumCampus LLC.
4.2 Use of Session Materials
The Company may use session materials (in anonymized or aggregated form) to:
- Improve platform content and features
- Train AI systems
- Conduct internal research and analytics
- Benchmark and optimize advisory services
Advisors shall not disclose or use session materials outside the Platform without prior written consent from the Company.
5. Third-Party Intellectual Property
5.1 Proprietary Data Sources
The Company acknowledges the use of proprietary data compilations including ADA data. All such data is used:
- In accordance with applicable terms and licenses
- For the stated purposes only
- With appropriate attribution where required
- Subject to third-party terms and conditions
5.2 Third-Party Trademarks
The Platform may reference dental schools, universities, professional organizations, and their trademarks for informational purposes only. Such references do not imply endorsement, affiliation, or authorization by such third parties. Users shall not:
- Use dental school or institution names to imply false association with the Platform
- Misrepresent the Company's relationship with any institution
- Use third-party marks in violation of applicable trademark law
5.3 AI Services Attribution
The Company uses AI services from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Together AI. Users acknowledge that:
- These services are provided by third-party vendors
- Third-party terms of service apply to AI usage
- The Company remains responsible for content generated through its Platform
6. Trademark Usage and Brand Guidelines
6.1 Restricted Use
The DentistJourney trademark, logo, and brand assets may not be used, reproduced, or modified without prior written permission from QuantumCampus LLC, except as expressly authorized in the Terms of Service.
6.2 Permitted References
Users may reference "DentistJourney" only when:
- Accurately describing the Platform or services
- Not implying endorsement or affiliation beyond actual use
- Not using the mark in a manner that dilutes or tarnishes the brand
- Following all applicable trademark usage guidelines
6.3 License for Authorized Use
Any written permission grant for trademark or brand asset use shall specify:
- Permitted scope of use
- Territory and duration
- All restrictions and prohibited uses
- Compliance with brand guidelines
- Termination rights and notice requirements
7. Prohibited Activities
7.1 Reverse Engineering
Users and third parties shall not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Platform software
- Attempt to extract, analyze, or replicate AI algorithms or prompts
- Conduct security testing without authorization
- Attempt to access non-public APIs or system components
- Use automated tools to scrape or copy Platform content (except as permitted by Terms of Service)
7.2 Unauthorized Use
Users shall not:
- Claim ownership of Company IP
- Register domain names or trademarks confusingly similar to DentistJourney
- Create derivative works based on proprietary content without permission
- Sublicense, resell, or redistribute Company IP
- Use Company IP in connection with competing services
7.3 Infringement Liability
Unauthorized use of Company intellectual property may result in:
- Termination of user account and Platform access
- Civil litigation and injunctive relief
- Liability for actual damages and Company profits
- Statutory damages up to $150,000 per willful infringement
- Attorney's fees and costs
8. Copyright and Attribution
All original content published on the Platform is protected by copyright. Users may:
- View and download content for personal, non-commercial use
- Share links to Platform content (not copies)
- Quote brief excerpts with proper attribution (not to exceed fair use)
Users may not:
- Reproduce full articles, materials, or content compilations
- Create derivative works
- Republish content as their own
- Use content for commercial purposes without license
9. Enforcement and Dispute Resolution
9.1 Monitoring and Detection
The Company reserves the right to:
- Monitor Platform usage for IP violations
- Use automated tools to detect unauthorized copying or scraping
- Request information from users regarding suspected infringement
- Take immediate action to prevent IP violations
9.2 Remedies
The Company may pursue any available remedy under law, including:
- Cease and desist notices
- Account termination and access revocation
- Injunctive relief (temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions)
- Damages (actual, statutory, and punitive where applicable)
- Recovery of attorney's fees and costs
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Exclusive jurisdiction and venue shall lie in Sacramento County, California.
11. Severability
If any provision of this Policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
12. Entire Agreement
This Policy, together with the Company's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement regarding intellectual property rights and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings.
13. Amendments
The Company reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Material amendments shall be provided with 30 days' written notice. Continued use of the Platform after amendments constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
